Day 4 — My Sister

I’d rather not talk about my brother here, but hey I do have a sibling that I do want to talk about. Anyhow, she’s not my full-blood sister, but half is close enough right?

Let me start with her husband, Shawn, he’s one of the coolest guys ever. Seriously I took a trip down there and he actually went me to a Victoria’s Secret to help me buy something for a girl. This was sometime ago when I was a total loser and even now I wouldn’t even go in there now. Yeesh. Hilarious now that I look back on it. I have to go back and visit him someday.

Back to my sister though, her name is Summer. She’s married (obviously) and has two sons, William and Cole as well as three Jack Russel Terriers. To summarize, Summer is the best season of the year and the best sister I could ever ask for. She lives in Las Vegas, which was part of the reason why I wanted to go down there for college at UNLV, but I ultimately decided against it due to things that worked in my favor at UH. The point being that she lives in Las Vegas, it is hard to see her often but the times I had in the past few years I’ve had a blast. She let me and my dad, who I went down with, just chilled in her house while waiting for a conference to start in a few days and we just had fun. Good times good times also for my other brother, Josh, when it was his wedding.

I think the time when we got close was when she was 13 and me and my brother were just wee lads. I think she wanted to spend the summer down here so she got to come down from Las Vegas. I remember this sort of, but I’m pretty sure she had the time of her life that summer. I can vividly see a picture that we took that summer. I was in this red and yellow car thingy, big enough only for me to ride in, and she was there behind it wearing this Viking helmet thing with 2 strands of braided plastic yellow hair. I actually haven’t seen this picture for years and I’d like a copy, but it’s a fond memory that I have.

I miss you, Summer! And I’ll always look forward to seeing you!

Also my cousin, Erica, but only so many stories can be told in one day. heh

Also pics, so that I can prove that I really have a sister.
